The first motor is a 2.3L EcoBoost® 4-cylinder that is able to generate 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. You can further improve the power by going with the 3.0L V6 motor, which produces 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque in the ST trim configuration. The last motor would be the 3.3L Hybrid.

A 10-speed automatic transmission will be mated to each engine. At most, your SUV will be able to reach a maximum towing capacity of 5,600 pounds.

Lastly, the drivetrain will be either rear-wheel drive or an intelligent four-wheel drive setup.

Passenger & Cargo Dimensions

Making sure you have room in the trunk for cargo or luggage is sometimes as important as having room for 3 rows of passengers. Thankfully, the Ford Explorer offers the best of both worlds.
